Organic Farm Tour & Cooking Class
Namkhan’s original project since 2016, our organic farm is now well-established and produces fruit, vegetables, and herbs all year round.
Organic farming thrives on diversity and good composting methods; this keeps the soil rich and enables the growth of nutritionally dense crops that are full of flavor. Our zero-waste and organic green cycle starts in our restaurant: leftovers and peels feed our many farm animals, and the remainder goes to compost. Waste from those same farm animals is collected and added to our compost and when ready, it is spread over the crops, providing essential nutrients for optimum plant growth. We do not use any chemicals on our farm and produce our own natural repellents to deter bugs and insects. Our farm team takes care of the crops, and when they are ready for harvest, they supply our restaurant, where the green cycle begins anew.
For all those passionate about agriculture & sustainability we offer an extensive farm tour with a knowledgable guide of about 45 minutes, during which time you’ll gather vegetables to use in creating a 5 course traditional Laos meal in our cooking class with one of our qualified chefs. A delight to body & mind.
